Sarah Vanderzon is an Canadian Americana, folk, and country singer-songwriter from Quebec.
In 2024, she was the winner of the 2024 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, and signed with her now record label, Universal Music Canada.
Her debut single “Are You With Me?” arrived in August of 2025, and was her first track off her debut EP, Fortune Teller, which was released on October 17th.
Sarah has a way when it comes to writing music, she does it the way that some people might tell the truth; carefully, and with incontestable conviction that makes you want to hear more. Her music turns life’s in-between moments like uncertainty, devotion, love and anger, into something that feels intimate and warm.
She brought that song-writing to Seattle, where she worked with Grammy-nominated Producer, Ryan Hadlock, to bring you her newest release: Red Label Bourbon. It’s a song that descibes being caught in the tension between loving someone and holding them accountable for the hurt they’ve caused.
While celebrating the release of the song, she’s also out on the road with John Muirhead! She joins him on The Never Ending Road cross-Canada tour, and they’ll be making a stop in Edmonton at the Varscona Theatre on November 15th.
Brooklin spoke with Sarah about Red Label Bourbon, and what it’s like being on the road during the tour
