Damian Radcliffe is a Canadian country singer-songwriter from Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Damian got into the country music scene a little unconventionally, as he is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran who discovered playing music at 44 years old while recoving from kidney cancer. Before that, he had never played guitar, went on stage, or written a song.
Music was his way to cope with recovery and mental health challenges, and says that it’s something that truly changed his life. Music has helped Damian heal and through that, he discovered that he had stories to tell through songs.
Damian draws inspiration from the small-town Alberta lifestyle, life-long friendships, love, loss and the experiences that shape us all.
His debut single, Dead End Days, is out now on all streaming platforms and currently plays on the Alberta Country Showcase.
Brooklin spoke with Damian about his past, his love for songwriting, and what his new song is all about.
