Ermineskin Cree Nation Veterans Day Pow Wow
Ermineskin Cree Nation is inviting community members and veterans to its annual Veterans Pow Wow on November 7 at the Howard Buffalo Memorial Centre in Samson Cree Nation.
Joe Roasting, a member of Ermineskin Cree Nation Veterans Pow Wow Committee, spoke with CFWE about the upcoming event and the wide reach of the Pow Wow, which has attracted attendees from Manitoba, Vancouver and the United States in previous Veterans Pow Wow events.
Roasting says over 80 veterans representing the four Maskwacis Nations – Samson Cree Nation, Montana First Nation, Ermineskin Cree Nation and Louis Bull Tribe – will be honored. He adds that the Pow Wow offers an opportunity for healing, dancing and spiritual replenishment.
