Daylin Jorgensen is a singer-songwriter from right here in Alberta.
Starting out in her career, she found her passion for music all on her own. She found her own rythym early, turning those quiet moments into melodies and emotions into songs! When you listen to her music, you quickly escape into something magical, peaceful and thoughtful.
She recently just got married, and wanted to do something very special for her partner. She wanted to write him a song! Knowing that it had to be done fast, she stayed up to write lyrics, thinking about the memories she has with him and how he makes her feel – how anyone in love would feel!
Her new song, Together, was showcased at her wedding, she was able to sing in front of her husband and her family and friends.
Something different about Daylin that you might now know, is that she has a Minimalist Phone! No social media, no extra games, no Google Maps! Daylin wanted to be able to put the phone down, and not have her mind focused on what’s going on on Instagram – a lesson that a lot of us need right now!
Brooklin spoke with Daylin about her song Together, and what is was like being able to perform it in such a magical moment, and of course – the phone!
