Westlock RCMP are turning to the public in hopes of revealing the identity of person(s) involved with attempted break-ins at different Westlock fire halls.
Late night April 20, 2024 to early morning April 21, there were attempted break-ins at various Fire Halls in the Westlock area. Westlock RCMP believes that the attempts may be connected and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s).

A picture of a suspect was obtained at one firehall and a picture of a vehicle, along with the description, was obtained at the other. The vehicle was described as a silver 2008 Dodge 1500 with a burnt-out tail light. A Ford pickup was also seen in the area at the times of the attempted break-ins.
“Though nothing was stolen so far, had a break-in been successful, it could have put the public at risk” said Cst Jarrett Taylor of the Westlock RCMP. “Ahead of this fire season, firefighters need their tools to stop a fire, gain access to structures, and enter vehicles in an emergency to save your loved ones.”
Anyone who has information or footage regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Westlock RCMP at 780-349-4491, or your local police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com.
