New information in a Vegreville police shooting investigation has emerged.
ASIRT said officers were called to a home on February 15th after a man had stabbed his own mother. RCMP later received a second call about a man trying to break into a home in the same area as the first call.
Police received a third call about a man who had kicked in the front window of a home and was armed with a knife.
Officers shot the man inside the house and remains in critical condition after being airlifted to the hospital, the female victim was treated for her injuries but was released from the hospital.
ASIRT said an investigation determined the same man was the subject of all three 911 calls.
