High winds and dry conditions have led to Grande Prairie issuing a fire advisory for their forest area.
The advisory has come into effect days after the province started their wildfire season, 1 week earlier than most years.
Alberta wildfires would like to remind everyone that other than a campfire, any burning without a permit is prohibited. Those using campfires are being reminded to make sure the fire is completely out upon leaving.
Anyone operating heavy equipment is being reminded to clear debris and avoid working in tall grass.
