A town hall meeting has been scheduled by the Edmonton Police Service to discuss the ongoing extortion schemes in the capital region.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at Ridgewood Community League at 7:00 P.M. MST Thursday, February 7th.
According to police, the meeting will offer a platform to address concerns along with the sharing of information regarding the extortion happening across our city.
A total of 27 cases were being investigated as of mid January involving extortion, arson and firearms related offences which include shootings.
