The Crisis Diversion Team, REACH Edmonton, Boyle Street Community services and local organizations are working together to raise awareness for citizens in the city to keep an eye out for anyone in distress during the winter months.
Kelly Husack, Director of Community Initiatives at REACH Edmonton spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about the programs purpose and how citizens can save lives during the drastic change in weather temperatures.
Husack says that there has been over a 20 percent increase in calls for many seeking aid in supportive intervention within the city.
If you see someone in distress in the cold elements, call 211 and press option three.
