More than 300 vehicles were involved in accidents after Edmonton got it’s first major snowfall of the year.
On Tuesday, 227 people reported a crash, 28 needed towing and 49 reported an injury.
As of noon on Wednesday, 73 crashes were reported to centres including a three vehicle collision on the Anthony Henday.
City crews are busy working on major roads which includes Anthony Henday Drive and Whitemud Drive. Under the city’s snow-clearing program, the priority network is to be cleared within five days.
While the roads are being swept, the city asks drivers to use extreme caution while driving during these conditions.
