The Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market hosted the I AM Collective Indigenous Holiday Market on Dec 16 and 17, which saw over 60 local vendors for shoppers to get their last minute Christmas shopping done before the holidays.
Corinne Olson, executive director of the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network on the Holiday Market about the vibrancy that the vendors bring, along with the teachings of the many Indigenous cultures.
Olson says that it’s both overwhelming and exciting to see the amazing work and dedication the artisans have put into the holiday market for shoppers to see inside the downtown farmers market.
Lorrie Lawrence, executive director of I AM Collective speaks on what many shoppers inside the Farmers Market can expect at the event.
Lawrence adds that it’s all about community and connecting with one another, and sharing the culture with many that come by to say hello.
