Police charge man with manslaughter after the death of a 5 year old boy

A 47 year old man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a five year old boy last year.

In June of 2022, police were called to assist medical crews with the death of a child near Leduc. RCMP identified the victim as Patience Noskiye who was living in his foster care home. The cause of death was initially unknown.

However, on October 14th 2023, 47 year old Darren Gardner from Leduc County was charged with manslaughter.

Gardner has been released from custody and will appear in court in Leduc on Nov. 16.
