Wood Buffalo RCMP have made arrests following a string of vehice thefts in Fort McMurray.
On October 30, and into the early morning hours of Oct. 31, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to two separate incidents of stolen vehicles. In both cases, the vehicles were successfully located and the following persons have been charged.
30 year old Murphy Deltess of Fort McMurray is facing charges. He is set to appear in Fort McMurray court on November 15.
42 year old Faith Marcel & 59 year old Christine Read, both of Fort McMurray will appear in court on November 22.
Wood Buffalo RCMP remind the public that it is imperative that you secure your vehicle when not using it. With the cold winter months upon us, it is important to remember that when starting your vehicle prior to use, ensure the vehicle is locked and don’t leave keys in the ignition. A running, unoccupied vehicle becomes an easy target for those looking to steal it.
